to Google Earth Outreach Announcements
Whether you are a non-profit or simply interested in Google Earth
Outreach’s work with non-profits, we wanted you to be the first to
hear about some exciting news. Today, Google is announcing a new
program for U.S. nonprofit organizations - Google for Nonprofits. This
program offers a suite of exclusive Google products to qualifying
nonprofits. Instead of applying to each Google product individually,
you can now sign up through a simple one-stop application process.

In addition to Google Earth Outreach, the program offerings include:

* Free online advertising using Google AdWords to reach more
donors and constituents, and build program awareness;
* Free or discounted Google Apps to lower IT costs, increase
productivity and operate more efficiently;
* Premium features for YouTube;
* and many other offerings.

One cool website feature is the blog, where you can find news and
updates from Google for Nonprofits. Google Earth Outreach had the
honor of writing one of the first posts, about a training we co-hosted
with the Institute at the Golden Gate last month. The Institute
gathered over eighty representatives from environmental nonprofits and
government organizations for the two-day workshop, designed for
technology specialists, environmental leaders, and public-interest
advocates interested in becoming effective trainers for Google’s
mapping technology and its range of applications.

profits that use mapping visualizations in their work, read our blog
