*Google Maps Engine grants program announced*

Today, we are excited to announce a new addition to the Google Earth
Outreach Grants program. Now, eligible nonprofit organizations in the
U.S., U.K., Brazil and Canada can apply for grants of Google Maps
Engine, a platform for hosting, storing, managing, and styling map
data. To learn more about how nonprofits like WWF and Eyes on the
Forest are using Google Maps Engine to engage the public, and how your
nonprofit can apply for your own grant, check out the Google Lat Long
blog post:

Note: Google Maps Engine was formerly known as Google Earth Builder.

*Join us for a Hangout on Air with Google Earth Outreach*

We’re pleased to invite nonprofit and other organizations to join the
Google Earth Outreach team at one of two upcoming hangouts on one of
Google's newest tools, Google Maps Engine. During the hangout, you’ll
learn how you can upload geospatial data to host in the Google cloud,
easily style the data, and publish maps on your website -- all with
Google Maps Engine.

We are hosting these hangouts to introduce you to this new tool and
how eligible nonprofits can apply for a software grant. The first
hangout will be on May 24th at 10:30 a.m. PDT, on the Google Earth
Plus page (http://goo.gl/CHsQr). See you there!

*Spreadsheet Mapper 3.0 released*

Many nonprofits have a spreadsheet of locations they’d like to see
published as a visually appealing, interactive map. That’s why,
several years ago, we released Spreadsheet Mapper, a tool that enables
anyone to easily create a well-designed KML file to show off their
data in Google Earth and Maps, using a Google Docs template - no
coding skills needed!

Spreadsheet Mapper 3.0, check out this recent Google Lat Long blog
