I'm currently looking to see if there is a stand alone version of
Google Earth available. I'm looking to use it on closed systems that
do not have access to the Internet. Is there anything available?

Maybe I don't understand Google licensing.

Why is it that each user who logs on is prompted for the username and

When I view Mt McKinley in Alaska in Earth Pro, the terrain elevation
max's out at 17,157'. Mt McKinley's true elevation is 20,138'. Are
there other gross elevation errors in the database? Is this a
function of Latitude? My programming is very sensitive to elevation
and things like this will break my work.

I received 300 licenses for Google Earth Pro for my school. My
current network environment is running off Windows 2003 Server. Our
workstations are running Windows XP Professional SP3. Each students
from 5th to 8th grade have logon account of their own. Our Windows XP
Professional deletes the profile each time a student logs out to save

At yesterday’s MEGUG Round Table meeting in Waterville, the topic of
Google Earth licensing was briefly discussed and legal notices from
Google minimally probed. With the increased utilization of Google
Earth there needs to be an increased understanding of what is
permissible and what is not.

I know how to change transparency in GE Pro but is it possible to
change it while zooming in to a particular region. That is, I want to
make movie which captures transparency to be gradually changing when I
fly into the area.

Thanks

From what I understand looking through these forum post is that if you
export out an image from Google Earth Pro, the Google logo is not to
be removed nor the source of the data. I regularly export data but
usually I export a larger extent than I actually need, which usually
covers up the Google Logo. My question is does this logo have to be

My Google Earth Pro license was installed in a computer whose hard
disk
broke. I got a new computer, tried to install Google Earth Pro with
my
previous license data and a message appeared telling me there were no
opportunities left to activate the license. How can I re-activate my
license? I hope you can help me. Thank you!

It would be nice to have better control over all the standard layers:

a) Custom layer pallates: We can already do this with our folders,
polygons, images etc. I usually don't care about the Wikipedia layer
and many (very many) others. I could remove them from my pallate to
simplify access to the layers I actually DO use.
