A number of my primary schools have expressed concern at pupils going on extended visits abroad to visit family – countries include Bangladesh, Hungary and Thailand (KS1 & 2).  I know what is needed but don't have time to produce something.  Are there any resource packs available for purchase?  Or is anyone able to share one (I would acknowledge you!) - happy to add to it.

Thanks loads.

Hi Nora,

One resource I’m aware of is ’A Book About My Journey’, publ. Leicestershire County Council, Education Dept. This is a workbook for KS2 children to take with them/do some research en route/do some writing/feed back after their return.

The pack is not dated, so not sure if it’s still available but  we could probably lend you a copy.

Any help?

Best wishes,

Angelika

A few years ago there was brilliant material produced and published in Oldham. If I remember correctly, there were separate versions for Pakistan and Bangladesh. Each was sub-titled Extended Visit Workbook,

Good luck.
