Cairo 65 Young Eagles flown

The Young Eagles event at Cairo on Saturday was a complete success. The weather was perfect and over 150 people attended.   I would like to thank the pilots: Scott, Danny, Art, Marty, Jeff O, Pat & our new chapter member, Henry.   The ground crew was headed up by Col Breedlove and his 2 cadets from Bainbridge H.S. Jr ROTC. Richard also drove up from TLH to help out.   We flew 65 Young Eagles, not bad for a first time event. The city manager was thrilled and said it will take place again next year. What was really incredible, 2 local businesses brought hamburgers and hot dogs and Bar B Q, with sides and drinks at no charge for everyone there.   We look forward to next year and want to thank Danny for putting this together. We have tried for years, and it finally happened.   Our next event will be BGE on Nov 3rd.  Pilots and crew, get ready, this will be a big one.   The next 2 events after BGE are TVI Nov 17th and Donaldsonvillle Dec 8th.   And finally, we have flown 370 Young Eagles this year, 600 is our target.
