Meeting tonight

Hello fellow DTWSCMT Members

 

As you know we postponed last weeks regular meeting and pushed it until this Tuesday the 24^th of April at 6 pm on the second floor of City Hall.

 

Please try to make an effort to attend this meeting. Cheese and crackers will be served tonight.

 

 We have two important projects under way. We will be hearing from the artist (Gregory Smart) that will be putting up the images beginning with the 3 large grey panels on the Chapel street side of the Firestone building. The other project our Co-Chair Hilton Caston is working on is about creating a sustainable year round food drive. She will be reporting her progress thus far.

 

Our intent is to keep moving down the block with images on each of those blacked out windows on the Comcast building. I have attached a rendering of what they will look like.

 

That block from Union to Olive Street is a real eye sore. The Board of Directors has taken on this project to help make that area a pleasant and interesting looking Block.

 

Of course during out regular meeting we will also hear from LT Rebecca Sweeney regarding area police activities, Win Davis from Downtown Green Special Services District as well as others.

 

I hope to see you there. Remember I try to keep theses meetings to only one hour so you can get home to your family.
