New Haven – On November 19, 2011, Yale University was hosting the annual Yale-Harvard football game. Yale police officers reported that a U-Haul truck had struck three pedestrians in Lot D of the Yale Bowl. One of the pedestrians struck, Nancy Barry, died as a result of her injuries sustained during the crash.
The New Haven Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Team responded and began a fatal crash investigation. The case has been ongoing.
Officer Rose Dell secured an arrest warrant for the driver of the U-Haul truck, Brendan D. Ross, date of birth 8-17-90, of 284 Fairway Green Dr., O Fallon, MO. This evening, he turned himself into the New Haven Police Department and was charged with Negligent Homicide with a Motor Vehicle (14-222a) and Reckless Driving (14-222) with a court set promise to appear.
