Dear Mr Bharadwajji,
I appreciate your concern and would like to confirm that individual RO syst=
ems in the kitchens are much more economical than central RO system and the=
basic reason is that the RO system basically required is for drinking=C2=
=A0 and cooking purposes. For all other puposes normal water is acceptable.S=
ome people may argue for clen water for washing hair, that too can be taken =
from the kitchen RO and done with.
This is entirely my personal view.People have the right to differ.Well!! Af=
ood for thought" Society elections therefore are more important than the MC=
D elections...."

Thanx n regards

of RO System !

Dear friends : =C2=A0Our CGHS was charging a good amount of money towards m=
aintenance charges and since some members have now moved in their flats and=
feel that the kind of water which is available in Dwarka, is not worth dri=
nking, it was desired to install Central RO system. But due to this proposa=
l, the Society proposed to increase the maintenance charges by Rs. 500/- pe=
r month, which was resented by some members, terming that the increase is h=
igher than the expected expenditure for installation and maintenance of the=
RO system. However, the managing committee, appointed a group of 5/6 membe=
rs to study the cost of entire RO system required for a society of 110 memb=
ers and then give its recommendations on the amount of maintenance charges =
to be increased owing to this system. Now, unofficially, it has transpired =
that the Society proposes to double the maintenance charges in the name of =
this RO system.=C2=A0

=C2=A0 =C2=A0 In the light of the above scenario, I request the hon'ble mem=
bers of this forum to apprise us on the following points :-

A. =C2=A0 =C2=A0What is the approximate cost of RO system required for a So=
ciety with a membership of 110,

B. =C2=A0 =C2=A0What is the approximate cost of its maintenance ,

C. =C2=A0 =C2=A0As only 9/10 members have so far shifted to their flats, an=
d another 7/8 members are expected to shift within next one or two months, =
the water requirement for the Society shall not be much higher, what should=
be the reasonable amount to be increased due to RO system ?=C2=A0

D. =C2=A0 =C2=A0Is it worth spending such a big amount on this system with =
a recurring cost also, =C2=A0because small individual RO=C2=A0systems can a=
lso be installed in the kitchens for using pure and cleaned water for cooki=
ng and drinking as well. =C2=A0A friend of mine who has installed small RO =
system in the kitchen has also informed that small RO system in kitchen cot=
s just Rs. 13/14K.=C2=A0
