Sir,
The entire footpath from Brahma Apartments to Ramphal chowk on both sides is
occupies by traders thus forcing people to walk on road in a heavy and eratic
traffic endangering their lives. Shops are scooter repairs, eateries, building
material stores etc.
There is no system monitoring as to whon to report this encroachment on road by
these shops.

Greetings all!
We all are well aware of the condition of footpaths and other pedestrians safety
in Dwarka. Half of the manhole covers are lying open. Others are being used as
parking spaces. Yet others have been encroached upon. As per data of Delhi Traffic
Police, almost every second person killed in road accidents was a pedestrian.
We do not want people to die in Dwarka. We want to work for their safety well in
advance. This will encourage people to walk more rather than taking motor vehicles
even for short distances.
What co-operation we need from you?We will send you Post Cards and we want you to
write a message for the Chief Engineer (Dwarka) DDA and then we will send them to
the DDA Office in Manglapuri. Look around yourself and see if the footpaths are
worth walking? If not, be ready with a message for the CE, DDA. It will take a few
mins of your time to ensure complete pedestrian safety in our sub-city.
Looking forward to your support. Please feel free to give more suggestions for
this campaign. To get Post Cards, pls reply with Society Name and contact Number.
