*DWARKA FORUM** *Dwarka Ki Awaaz

                                          (Regn No. S-63070)

(A Welfare Association of Residents & RWA's / CGHS Representatives of
Dwarka Sub-City)

Shri Mukul Roy
Honable Minister of Railway
Government of India.

Sir,
Greetings from Dwarka Forum.

We would like to bring your kind attention on attachment which was obtained
by an alert citizen of Dwarka which revels that there is no provision for
pollution checking of railway Engine which is a cause of concern for all of
us.You will appreciate that environment is an issue on which all the
countries of the world including our country are worried and looking for
control of green house omission and considering the fact it appears as a
great surprise that railway ministry is looking otherwise.

There is a drive where any citizen caught with a vehicle which has no
pollution certificate is being punished where as these small vehicle
consumes very less petroleum product with respect to a railway engine.still
in India we are operating diesel engine in big numbers and with immediate
attention we can reduce the level of pollution by monitoring it.

We request on behalf of 6 lakhs people of Dwarka to give appropriate
instruction to concerned officials.

Best Regards

Rajiv Solanki
General Secretary.

let us accept the commitment of IR at face value and hope that it will take
appropriate measure to lessen carbon emission.

Even though there is no law in force and they have initiated action on
their own must be appreciated.

We will certainly follow up for sure.

Regards.
