Customer Care – Samsung mobile sets – Galaxy range – giving defective services.

The following letter is self-explanatory mail.  However I have to give the set again to service centre as it was going on hold mode automatically when talking after the last service. Some customers met me at the service centre using Galaxy hand sets who were visiting fifth times during the warrantee period of one year.  An unfair trade practice is that on delivery, customers have to return the service request and left with no service record.  However, I have now started to keep photo copy of the requests.

Sub: Defective Samsung Mobile Set.

Respected Sir,

I purchased a Samsung mobile handset on 15.5.2012 from Spice Hot Spot, Sector 10, Dwarka, New Delhi-75 and it appear that it has some manufacturing defect as since its purchase, I have to give it to the service centre named Maa Vaishnavi Services, Shakarpur, Delhi-92 many times.  After every service, important data like contacts, photos, SMS etc. have been deleted putting me in great trouble.  It has further developed snag as many times, the call is getting disconnected after 2-3 minutes. Enclosing copy of service request issued on 27.4.2013.

2.       As per available data, record, the set was given for service on 27.4.2013, 26.12.12 and 20.12.12.

3.       This was also given more than twice also but the service centre take back the customer copy also on the delivery of the set, I do not have the record since no photo copy was kept but the centre is having record in its computer. Taking back the customer copy is was unfair trade practice as it deprived the  customers from maintaining the service record and after this experience, I started to have photo copies of the service requests.  I remember that the set was also give twice more but was repaired by hand without issuing any service request.

3.       The purchase details are as under:

Dealer – Spice Hot Spot, Wadhwa Complex, Sec. 10, Dwarka, New Delhi-110075.

Cash Memo details:

Book No. 125/233. S. No. 11615 date 15.05.12.

Model-– 6102

IMEI No. 3522 7205 1639 697-8806 0850 5018723.

4.       It appears that this set has some manufacturing defect and I request you to replace the set.

Yours faithfully,

 (M. K. Gupta)
