Dear Solanki Sahib,

May I request you to please acknowledge receipt of my mail below. I would also appreciate if you could send me the response to the issues raised by me therein.

Further, with reference to our telephonic discussion,  as advised I spoke to Mr Kashyap, electrical engineer (hope I am giving the name correctly) regarding the street lights along Road 202 from Munirka Chowk to T Junction of the Rajnagar Dada Dev Mandir.  These street lights remain non-functional most of the time. I have a feeling this is being done deliberately to take advantage of the darkness for  dumping  garbage, debris in the area along the side road and the main road. In the darkness large number of people have been seen boozing sitting under the bushes or in the cars parked on the side. This may lead to law and order problem.

I request your personal indulgence in the matter.

With regards.

Dear Mr Solanki,

Will appreciate if the pending work could also be completed. The uncovered on the pedestrian walk are very dangerous. This was explained to the concerned Engineer but no action has been taken. The Debris and Malwa from the Pedestrian Path on both side of the side road  need to be removed on priority. Just  for your convenience the area is Sector 7 From Plot 17 to 12) and beyond.

About a week I had spoken to Mr Arora, the EE (Electrical) to get the street lights repaired on road 202 (divider) right up to Dada Dev-Rajnagar T Junction. Nothing has been done  till yesterday. I request your personal indulgence in the matter as it is related to security of the area and the safety of the citizens (blind man holes/pits/gaps you know).

Will highly appreciate for a response please.

With best wishes and regards.

Dear Solanki Sahib,

We thank you for repairing the side road in front of Plot 17 to Plot 13 ( only till Corner) in Sector 7. Though, I have not understood the logic of  part repair. I am sure you are aware the condition of the side road from Plot 13-Ramphal Chowk- Siksha Bharti School-Air Force Naval Society (Munirka Chowk) in Sector  is equally bad and needs urgent repair. This repair was done about 3-4 days back.

Laying of  fresh Tarmac to resurface the  road 202 on Sector 7 side of the divider for 300 Mtrs in front of Plot 17 to Plot 14  only is quite confusing and intriguing. This was done about a fortnight back. Has the contractor run away or he has taken us for a ride?

Shri Sharma  the Engineer in charge has spoken to me yesterday  informing about the repair of the side road,  though a very delayed action, he has assured me that he would get the pathways on both side of the side road  repaired shortly and have the malwa and debris removed from the pathways without any further delay. Hope he keeps his promise.

Our aim is to help you and public at large. We seek your sincere personal indulgence for improvement of this area and consider this area also  as part of Dwarka only.

With warm regards.

Bharat

Dear Solankiji,

With reference to my earlier mails below, I am constrained to remind you that very little work has been done on ground. Some trees and undergrowth have been removed from the side road and Malwa has been removed. However, the road is still in bad shape. Since no further work/improvement  has been carried out on the road and the areas around,  Malwas is being allowed to be dumped  on this road yet  again.  The concrete structure next Plot 13,  though sloped but still remains a threat to the bikers/vehicular traffic and therefore some permanent solution will  have to be found out. This side road right from Munirka Chowk through Ramphal and Plot 17 of Sect 7 needs  to be done up on priority. Further, it will be in the best public interest if the areas where  vacant plots are there,  be lit up for the safety of the residents.

Despite repeated written and personal requests, the foot paths constructed on both sides of the road have not been repaired /improved. This proves how insensitive our DDA is  to the pedestrians. Slabs thrown on the footpath are disappearing daily systematically and by some design and causing discomfort and inconvenience to walkers. The tree/plant bases widened  by removing some bricks are also thrown around the place in a very  shabby manner causing  great deal of inconvenience and discomfort  to the pedestrians. This situation is prevailing for almost  last one year  but DDA has taken no action.

“Man Made Kachda Dump”  created right next to the main road 202 (next to Culvert in front of Plot 14 of Sect 7) on the side of sector 8 is intact and flourishing day by day and the stink is increasing day by day which compliments the stink of the Dirty Nala flowing underneath.

I further request you to please be kind enough to the residents of this so neglected area, who are given an impression and address that hey are also part of DWARKA and rectify the above.

With best wishes and warm regards.

Dear Shri Solanki,

With reference to my mail below, I find very little progress in the work. Some work of removal of the debris and bushes has been carried out on the side road linking Ramphal Chowk Plot 12,13,14,15,16 and 17 of sector 7. After removal of debris and the bushes there is at least movement of light traffic but not  without danger to human lives. I mention likely dangers to as under:-

1. Some unmarked  man- hole covers on the road are missing. Since this area is poorly lit, these open holes may cause accidents.

2. The 1.5’x6’x6’ raised unmarked platform constructed covering more than  half the road with electric poles on the other side of the road covering little portion of the road making it a dangerous spot.

3. Right next to Sargodha (Plot 13) on this side road, there is a underground water regulator which is covered by an iron sheet. The cover of it missing for the last 6 months and has been a source of accidents and threat to human lives.

4. The foot path on the drain passing in front of Plot 12 to 17 is not maintained at all. Some time back the work of widening the bases of the tree was undertaken by the DDA. The work has been carried out in a shabby manner; heaps bricks and stones are left on  the foot path over the drain, the tree bases have not been done up properly, the slabs on this foot path are missing but I find some layers of cement have been put on the sides of some of the slabs to permanently fix them but while walking on them the slabs still remain loose. Despite  my repeated requests to Shri Sharma,  no action has been taken. He puts entire blame on the contractor as if DDA has nothing to do in this.

After the removal of the bushes and debris from this side road,  we observed that for next 2-3 days some 3-4 laborers were working to remove the left over soil/debris. This, instead dumping so manually collected soil/debris in the vacant plot right next to the road or ferrying it  to some other suitable site,  was put on the edges of the foot path/pedestrian walk on both side of this service  road. This muck was allowed to stay there for 10-15 days by which time most of it fell back on to the road or disappeared into the green area or the main road. On my repeated requests, Shri Sharma did arrange to remove some of this soil but some of it is still left  on the foot path in front of the Societies (Plot 16 & 17). Despite my repeated requests to Shri Sharma, nothing has been done. He only puts blame on the Contractor  for delay and poor work. When told to  have him removed, he says he has nothing in his hands, only senior officers can do some thing and then he washes off his hands.

No work has been undertaken to do the side road on the other side of the Road 202 except some garbage truck  had lifted the garbage partially from the dump  right next to the main road next to the missing side road where DDA sign posting is placed.

I am sure you will  issue instructions to accord ‘PRIORITY’  to this area have the above attended to.

Dear Mr Solanki,

The dozers have cleaned up the side road between plot 13 and 14 in sect 7.  But  lot of work is yet to be carried out as machines have  its limitations. Nothing has been done to improve the pedestrian walk and on the other side of the road 202 in sect 8. Will appreciate for an action action.

I also request you to initiate action to install high powered/intensity flood lights in the vacant plots between plot 14 and plot 13 in sect 7  and in the vacant plot across main  road in sect 8. This will reduce the thefts of your slabs and other public property  and will deter the people from dirtying the roads and plots. You may also consider regularly maintaining  the greenery and prevent it from going wild which is an ideal ground for the antisocial elements. If the area is well lit no one will be sitting  under the bushes and drinking which is happening right now. Under the circumstances it is very difficult for the ladies to move  along this stretch after darkness.

With warm regards.

Dear Mr Solanki,
I am constrained to write to you that despite repeated requests to you and as advised by to your Supdt engineer Mob 9350975797, EE Mob 9899208595 and JE 9818356735, no action/improvement has taken place for the last 2-3 years . The things are  getting worst. Some of the issues I am highlighting once again for your convenience and ready reference:-

Areas;-     1.     Side road running  in front of Plot 17, 16, 15, 14, and vacant plot and plot 13 right up to Ramphal Chowk in Sector 7 in a almost in disuse because of the poor maintenance and                         garbage, potholes  and undergrowth. The DDA has been telling me for the last 2 years  that the tender has been floated but on ground nothing happened.
                 2.    Pedestrian Walk over drain in front of Plot 17, 16, 15, 14, and vacant plot and plot 13 right up to Ramphal Chowk in Sector 7, slabs missing/left over not fixed properly prone to                     theft. Why not put Kota  stone to avoid frequent replacement due to theft. I had even told your subordinate staff to provide me the FIR and we will take it up with the police but nothing                 has been provided. Appears to be a deliberate act  on the part of the contractor.
                3.    Side Road along Road 202 on the Sector 8 side in front of the National Malaria National Research Institute from Dada Dev-Rajnagar T Junction to right up to in front of Plot  13 (Sect                     7), Queen Valley School and Sector 9 is in poor state of maintenance..
                   4.    Garbage dump bang on the main road 202 right next to signage of DDA that this land belong to DDA and dumping of Malwa is forbidden and will be prosecuted. This dump is                         there ever since this board has been put two years back. Your subordinates when complained to,   tell us that public should catch them  reflects the non-serious attitude of the DDA                     in solving the public grievances.
                    5.    After cleaning the drain in Sector 9 in front  of the Paradise,Millennium and Bhirgu Apartments the Muck is lying on the track for the last 15 days obstructing the movement of                         the walkers and forcing them to either walk on the side road or main road.
I would appreciate if you consider our area also part of Dwarka and take care and maintain it so that residents do not have any discomfort and inconvenience.

With warm regards.
