Virendra Mhaiskar, chairman & managing director, IRB Infrastructure Developers Ltd, and a few other officials will be undergoing lie-detector test as part of a probe into the murder of RTI Activist Satish Shetty.
On Wednesday, the Central Bureau of Investigation obtained permission from additional sessions judge S M Shinde to conduct the polygraph test on Mhaiskar, a few other IRB executives and seven police personnel.
IRB has 16 projects in its portfolio currently of which ten arein operation, while six are works in progress. It has an orderbook of `9,128 crore.
On January 12, the company’s shares slipped 5% when Goldman Sachs said IRB had masked the purchase of an aircraft, which was vehemently denied by the management.
The IRB share touched an intra-day low of `138.40 - that was a fall of 18%. .
Shetty was killed near his residence in Talegaon Dabhade on the outskirts of Pune on January 13, 2010, when he was returning from a morning walk. He was an anti-graft crusader and had exposed wrongdoings of many influential persons.
