MCD after the split

Dear All,

Split effect

Regarding PROPERTY TAX, earlier all cheques/DDs had to be addressed to
the Commissioner, Muncipal Corporation of Delhi, now they have to be
paid to their respective corporations.

Do anybody know about this SPLIT. Where to pay for Dwaraka Residents.

Property Tax for Dwarka Residents can be paid in the office of Property Tax Department, MCD Office, Najafgarh Zone, Kakrola Housing Complex. This office is 100 meters from the Dwarka Mor towards Najafgarh on Najafgarh Road.

According to a news item the Cheques/DD will have to be made in the name of Commissioner, South Delhi Municipal Corporation. (This last bit needs to be confirmed). 

However, the forms for 2012-13 mention cheques payable to 'MCD Property Tax'  as before. I will confirm this last bit tomorrow morning and let you know.

Just checked on the MCD Property Tax Website.
Property Tax Cheques/DDs/POs must in favour of “Commissioner, South Delhi Municipal Corporation” for properties falling under "South Delhi Municipal Corporation”

According to this website the tax can be paid at branches of HDFC banks and ITZ cash outlets.

i have paid property tax online through MCD website.. not sure whether it is credited to south delhi or which unit of MCD.  can you pl. let me know is that ok?
