Subject: VCL-HG0872 (Old wide conversion lens for Z1/FX1) in Z5 or FX1000
Hi,

Is anyone here have Z5 or FX1000 and VCL-HG0872 ?
(I say VCL-HG0872, old accessories of Z1 and FX1 , not newer VCL-HG0872X or K)

Does this wide angle of old Z1 or FX1 still can work "Good Enough"
(instead of perfectly) ?

I read one review (user raf3d from Brazil):
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/355585-REG/Sony_VCLHG0872_VCL_H...

"This equipment is of high quality
But it does not work perfectly with the Sony camera Z7, needs to be
placed a ring adapter and even then, when it recorded in HDV, the
shadows appear in the corners of the image"

Yeah, right, because this wide lens has little 'extender' on the rear
thread, which make it difficult to attach to Z5 or FX1000 (or other
72mm thread camcorders - except Canon XHA1/G1). So, his idea is to
attach the ring adapter.

Will there be any picture degradation or anything because of the
extension (ring adapters) ?
How large the shadows appear in the corners of image ?

Thanks,

Setiawan
