Subject: Otago Polytech visit to the makerspace
Hamish Tocher from the Otago Poly has asked me a couple of questions:
I am wondering about two things: could we come on Saturday afternoon to
do some printing?
And could we come perhaps on Tuesday afternoon? I realize this is an
off-duty hour!
"We" is me plus about 6 people. Obviously, we would pay for the PLA/ABS
and put some money into the kitty.

I have told him that I can be there on Saturday and I'll have my
Makerbot set up as well. Optimally there should be a couple of others
there as well (Paul and Brian?) who can each take on one of the Mendel
machines and nurse it along. I know what I'm doing with my makerbot but
haven't really done anything with the Mendels.

Similar thing for Tuesday. I am unemployed so I can be there :-) Anyone
else who could volunteer to be there?

The PLA there is available for beginners without charge in small quantities -
feel free to help yourselves - if you have larger plans, please buy a roll or
two - donations in the blue box are always welcome - 6 people on Sat is not an
issue

The white one is currently non-functional, the other is free for general use -
requires a little TLC to use but anyone can learn how to use it

The basic rule has been that a board member should be there  (and you're a
board member ...)  - we can open any time (but please let everyone know so
that we don't overbook the space) - I'm pretty overcommitted at the moment,
can't promise a Tuesday - let's talk

I'll be there Thursday and Saturday.
