create an anti-social network. people can create a profile and upload pictures, etc. but you can't ever see anyone else's profile/photos, you can only write on your own wall, etc, etc.

There's also Windows/Total Commander. I showed it to David when we were working for the same company but he didn't like it. I dont remember the reason now. I still use it every day.

Yeah, it's a bit of a holy war with Total Commander vs Far. I guess it depends if you're old enough to have used Norton Commander :). I guess David won't much like Far either :)

Just been to the scraperwiki event (Hacks and Hackers) in Belfast.
Absolutely amazing platform. The idea is to aggregate freely available
data on the web and make it available in an easy to digest format - in
particular to journalists, to influence through the stories they can
write with good facts at hand.
I really think this is a project that Open Source communities can
contribute to in an achievable and time efficient manner. The killer
feature is that any code you contribute can be maintained on the
scraperwiki.com site, so as the sources you're scraping change over
time so can your code.
I'll be flying the flag for scaperwiki on Nov 20th at the coding day.
And I might even ditch my Ruby Hat in favour of Python for a day - in
this beautiful language-agnostic world!
All the best,
Dec

@Declan an useful usage for everyone working in IT could be using the SCRAPERWIKI to parse all the computer jobs oriented websites in Ireland and to create a dashboard of trends of required skills, maybe using some BI to predict those trends. It looks like no one has a proper api for querying them so maybe could be possible using this fantastic project...
