Subject: Finalising the switch to GDG Dublin

Hey everyone,

We announced the switch from Dublin GTUG to Google Developer Group (GDG)
Dublin a while back and we feel it's time to solidify that switch. With
that we have made the following changes:

   - created a new mailing list <http://groups.google.com/group/gdg-dublin>
-- the Dublin GTUG (i.e. the one this email came in on) mailing list has
been disabled for new members and will be disabled for new posts in the
   coming weeks.
   - changed our twitter name to @gdgdublin <
   https://twitter.com/#!/gdgdublin>
   - moved to a new YouTube account for uploading videos <
   http://www.youtube.com/user/GDGDublin>
   - set up a GDG Dublin Google+ page <
   https://plus.google.com/u/0/100633195306202271076/about>

50 of you received an invite to the new group, and then a [relatively] new
invite rate limit mechanism kicked in. It turns out only 50 people can be
invited per day to a new group. So.... the new mailing list
is completely open to join, if you are in the majority who did not receive
an invite please join yourself up since at the current rate it will take
over a week to invite everyone! So nobody feels left out, the invite email
is below too.

- Eoin

Invite email:

Hello Dublin GTUG mailing list member,

We've mentioned over the last few weeks at events and on the mailing list
that we'd be shifting from the Dublin Google Tech User Group name to Google
Developer Group (GDG) Dublin. This is one of the steps -- migrating to a
new mailing list. You have been invited to join this mailing list as you
are subscribed to the original Dublin GTUG mailing list. If you would like
to continue receiving emails about GDG Dublin events, please accept this
invitation.

We will also be posting future events as Google+ events on our Google+ page
<http://gplus.to/GDGDublin>, and our twitter feed which will has been
renamed to GDGDublin <https://twitter.com/gdgdublin>.

We hope you keep supporting us at our events!

Thanks,

Eoin and Sean
