updated binary/scripts

* fixed an argument parsing error in the dti_deformation_reg script
* added two new multimodal rigid/affine registration routines (rsvDSM/
asvDSM), useful for intra-subject alignment of DTI (via b0) to T1
* many internal code changes

Linux Binary has been updated!

What's New?
* added spatial normalization tools (dti_rigid_sn, dti_affine_sn,
dti_deformable_sn)

* added spatial normalization tools with iterative template refinement
(dti_rigid_population, dti_affine_population)

Refer to "Registration of DTI Volumes" for usage instructions.

Coming soon: dti_deformable_population

Updated MacOSX binary package is now available.

From this release (2008/09/13) on, a few changes have been made to the
installation procedure. So be sure to check out the "Installation"
page for details.

What's New in this release (2008/09/30)?

* The complete pipeline for "spatial normalization with population-
specific atlas construction" is now available. There will be a
dedicated tutorial available soon.

* Conversion from FSL format is now available. See the "Data Format"
and the "Diffusivity Unit" pages for detailed instructions.

In this new release,

1) switched to CentOS 4 platform to improve binary compatibility with
more enterprise-level linux distros (such as SUSE 10 and RedHat
Enterprise 4)

2) significant changes made to the diffeomorphic registration
algorithm to support more robust spatial scaling behavior: in the
previous versions, the registration may produce different results if
you switch (via resampling) from a volume of 128x128x64 and
1.5x1.75x2.5 mm^3 to a volume of 128x128x128 and 1.5x1.75x1.25 mm^3.
this issue has been addressed in the current release.

Hi all,

I've discovered that the 20081202 release was not properly packaged.
As a result, some of the enhancements were not included. I've fixed
this error in the 20081202 linux release. Replacing your current
release with this new release is strongly recommended!

Hi,

In this release (20081203), I've cleaned up the deformable
registration tool a bit to remove some redundant steps and include
some optimization. Check it out.

possible OSX platforms in one universal binary package:

1) 32-bit powerpc
2) 64-bit powerpc
3) 32-bit intel
4) 64-bit intel

Enjoy.

Dear DTI-TK users,

Starting from March 19th, 2008, DTI-TK has a new home in the
Neuroimaging Informatics Tools and Resources Clearinghouse (NITRC).
The new homepage for DTI-TK is now http://www.nitrc.org/projects/dtitk.
The distribution of the binaries is the first to be transitioned to
the NITRC resources. In the coming months, we will explore the other
resources provided by NITRC and decide the best steps forward. We
will keep you updated and thanks for your continued support.
