Subject: [FW1] "No Response from Server" Error

It has been brought to my attention that a problem exists with dual
processor machines running all FW-1 components including the GUI Client.
I am setting up an HP NetServer Dual/200Mhz processor machine with NT40
SP3, FW-1 V30b patch 3064, and have been experiencing problems
installing the policy from the GUI. It will pause for a period of time
then come back with the message "No Response from Server".  If I drop
down to a command line and key in the fw load command with the policy
name, the policy loads almost instantaneously.
Has anyone else experienced anything similar and if so what were your
solutions short of disabling a processor or putting the GUI on another
machine.

I have also seen this (similar machine).  Another interesting note is that if you
run the GUI from a separate machine, it normally doesn't timeout.

I am installing a FW on a dual CPU machine at one customer site and we choose to run
the GUI  from other PC.
When I checked CP support page this is one option to fix it as well as using one CPU
only.
