Subject: Experience with Rotary Atlantoaxial Subluxation
Our daughter, Rachel, has rotary atlantoaxial subluxation.  She is
being seen by Dr. Skarli, a neurosurgeon at Helen DeVos Children's
Hospital.  Has anyone heard of him or know anything about him?  Has
anyone ever seen a different neurosurgeon for any reason?

We schedule surgery soon.  Has anyone ever had a similar experience?
Where is a good place to get in touch with parents who have similar
experiences?  We are scared and desperate for conversation with
someone who has gone through or is going through what we are.

You can contact me at tarbo...@charter.net.  Thank you.

Tara

I'm sorry, but I have not heard of this condition and do not have a referral
for you, but I wanted to reassure you that the DeVos Children's hospital is
a great place to be.  They are wonderful and have the best of the best.  I
will say some prayers for your peace of mind and your daughter's wellbeing.
