It is good that activities on safety of drinking water have been
reactivated. The title of the group should be : Ensuring Safe Drinking
Water For Pakistanis :
Even the residents of the Capital do not get the safe Drinking water why we
talk about other remote areas of Pakistan. It is a pity that the manholes
have mostly leaking valves. The dirty unsafe water which is filled the
water is being supplied under pressure enters back into the water pipes
when the supply of the water stops. Taxi drivers and other poor people are
seeking the leaked water of the manholes for washing of taxis and clothes.
The concerned CDA staff is watching such undesirable scenes without taking
any remedial action. If we can't correct the undesirable water problems in
the capital then it is a futile effort to make any groups for the
sanitation and drinking water.
