Not loading images?

Only in production:

Rails 2.3.8

Ruby 1.9.3-p125

I'm loading about 30+ images per page and a select view only load about 25% then the request just dies. I pulled all the files in /system/dragonfly/ from the server to the dev machine and every photo loads correctly. 

Where do I go from here?

can I log dragonflys activity?

I've noted this seems to be directly related to the quality of the images. If i encode(:jpg, '-quality 10') everything is super ugly but they all load. I tried dropping it to quality 70 but that still hangs.

How should I deal with large high quality images?

I haven't had any issues serving up large files. Are you sure you're not running out of desk space ? Is it the same images each time ? What happens if you go to the image url directly eg. /media/somethingelse
