Greetings fellow gardeners,
We are on the brink of our greatest success yet. Downtown Alder Mike
Verveer has introduced an amendment to the Capitol Budget that proposes
a FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR AN INTENSIVE COMMUNITY GARDEN AND/OR GREEN ROOF
ATOP OUR NEW CENTRAL PUBLIC LIBRARY.

This is very encouraging, the amendment has 4 co-sponsors and is budget
neutral. This means there is no monetary commitment and all we need is
the approval of 6 more members of the city council to see it though.
Ultimately to truly examine the possibility of the FIRST EVER rooftop
community garden on a public library right here in Madison.

We NEED your help. Please come to the budget hearing on Tuesday
November 10, 5:30PM in room 201 of the City-County Building (210 Martin
Luther King, Jr. Blvd.).

You can register a form in support of our fair amendment, and you also
have the option to SPEAK in favor of the amendment (for a feasibility
study).
