Greetings gardeners of Madison,
We have taken several more steps towards making the community garden on
central public library a reality. Yet there is still much to be done,
and time is of the essence. The budget will be decided on November
10th, and we'll need the city council on our side by then. That is why
we're asking everyone to write their council members and include 2
pieces of information
1. You support the addition of a community garden into the design of
Central Public Library and
2. You request, as a concerned constituent, for your alder to schedule a
meeting to see our 30 minute presentation.

Also, if you have the time we urge you to submit a comment to the
library board regarding the design proposed by Fiore of Central Public
Library (gardens gardens gardens!) Follow this link to the library's

We will be getting a cost estimate from the developers shortly as a
result of a meeting this morning. We're closer than ever, let's keep up
the push through October.
Finally, our next meeting is this Thursday, October 8th, at 6PM at
Lothlorian Coop on 244 West Lakelawn Place. All are welcome.
