Road Trip | Trippy power pop with the psychodots

The psychodots used to travel here from Cincinnati every few months to
deliver three sets of pristine power pop at the Butchertown Pub, where
guitarist Rob Fetters, bassist Bob Nyswonger and drummer Chris Arduser
became minor-league heroes to everyone with an appreciation for a
crunchy hook and technical prowess. You wouldn't expect less from a
band that once backed Adrian Belew.
Their visits were a tradition that have been sorely missed, but you
can be part of another psychodots tradition by heading to the
Southgate House in Newport, Ky., for the band's annual “Thanksgiving
show.” It's tonight at 9 with another Cincy band, The Tempers,
opening. Cover is $15 and it's for ages 18 and up.
