Hi everybody,

I am having an issue with the CheckIdRequest method.
Every time I try to acces the Server sample site I get this error
"The CheckIdRequest has not been set. This usually means that Http
Session is not available and the OpenID request needs to be
restarted."
Everything compiles ok, I am using IIS 5.1, VS 2008 and the latest
sources revision.
I didn't get this behavior while using M1.

Thanks

Ivan

Ivan,

What version of DotNetOpenId are you running (0.1 drop on web site, or specific branch/trunk plus revision number please)?

Exactly what URL to the sample server web site do you type in when this fails?  Certain URLs are expected to fail (like decide.aspx) when they are navigated to directly.

Hi Andrew,

I am running trunk revision 162.

This error is raised when I simply try to go to
http://localhost/OpenId_Server

I am then redirected to
http://localhost/OpenId_Server/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fOpenId_Server
which displays the error message.

I tried with the IP address instead of localhost with the same result.

I'll investigate.

In the meantime, I suggest you try our 0.1 branch rather than trunk.  trunk is under heavy development right now and may not be stable.  But our 0.1 branch should work well for you.  You can download 0.1 as a drop from our home page, or using SVN:
svn checkout http://dotnetopenid.googlecode.com/svn/branches/0.1 dotnetopenid-read-only
