I will be retiring at the end of June if anyone is looking for a new position as a Website Coordinator. Here is the job posting from our website.

Web Site Coordinator

Duties:

As a member of the marketing and communications team at SCC, the website coordinator ensures that the college's websites (Intranet, Internet) continue to evolve into effective, attractive, up-to-date, accurate and user-friendly tools for communication, learning, technology and marketing. This position is the college's lead on day-to-day operation and front-end development of the website including working with all units and divisions to maintain, update and make suggestions for change.

The coordinator, who reports to the vice president for marketing and communications, will oversee the websites through project management, content management system administration, writing and conducting user training, analyzing statistics and analytics, service on committees, implementation and customizing software products as needed, collaborating with IT, recommending and working with emerging technologies affecting the website, directing the workflow of the website specialist and working with Web developer.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from an accredited college or university required; two or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills needed: HTML5, XHTML, CSS3, jQuery, responsive design, JavaScript.
  • Skills preferred, but not required: Velocity, Backbone.js, mobile Web application development, good understanding of Web infrastructure and server-side languages, and graphic design.
