to do
hi,

we are using 1.9.3.2 and now wanted to upgrade to newer build. Can we directly move to 1.9.5.1 ?

do we have to copy the zip file  for 1.9.5.1 and then all the assets and plugins to make it run or is their any short way of doing it?

regards,
Nadeem

You can upgrade directly from 1.9.3.2 to 1.9.5.1, if you running the zip, easiest to just download the new zip and copy assets/etc.  You'll want to make sure you have good DB backups and all that, there are some Scheme changes for the new tag/category manager that might take a while there.

However, why not go to 2.1 or 2.0.1 if you want to be safe on the new release?  Should be a direct upgrade as well. Check the doc site for the upgrade tips as well as the release notes on 2.1.

For 2.0.1 , just download the new zip and copy assets from 1.9.3.2. Will the plugin be compatible with new build?

Nadeem,

You will need to test all your plugins with the 1.9.5 and then with 2.1.

There will most probably be changes necessary when moving to 2.x.

Thanks
