For those that haven't done this before: http://dorkbotpdx.org/wiki/dorkbotpdx_group_ordering
Orders can be placed by sending me an email (la...@laen.org ) or
(preferably), responding to this message on the dorkbotpdx-blabber
mailing list. This way others can see your parts and hopefully get
ideas.
For each part, include the following information:
quantity, vendor, exact distributor part number, part description.
Example:
Qty 1, Digikey, ATMEGA168-20AU-ND, Atmel ATMega 168 MC
I have scripts that parse this out, so it makes things easier on me if
they're in this format.
Enjoy!

On the FTDI chip, the first discount is at only 10 pieces. Anyone else
need some?
Only a few.
For both the Arduino boards, 768-1007-1-ND is the USB-serial chip and
887-1019-ND is the crystal. For the Arduino Mega, ATMEGA1280-16AU-ND is
the processor. For the Ethernet Shield, the exact connector was not
stocked, but 380-1139-ND is (I hope) a substitute. At least it seems
compatible from the datasheet.
All the other parts I already own or I'm not planning on using them. On
both Arduino boards, for example, I was just going to wire them to the
USB power instead of building the power switching circuit.
Those other parts are for other boards. I submitted 8 boards total,
including the 3 we're sharing.

But if you'd like to stay with the '162 chip, you can use my "Windows
Serial Installer" to solve all your windows user troubles. It works on
windows 2000, xp, vista and 7, and it follows the installer usage
paradigm that all windows users are able to use. Even extremely novice
windows users have no problems. In particular, 7 goes very smoothly,
which is good news as XP and Vista fade away.
It matches against all CDC class using ACM protocol (just like MacOS and
Linux do), and I have personally tested it with Benito boards you have
sold. It works great.
You can get it (or point your windows users to it) at this page:
http://www.pjrc.com/teensy/td_download.html
Maybe it's still more profitable for you to solder so many boards, but
remember there's a special Teensy option for you if you have better ways
to use all that time!
