Once again I am in need of one of a 50 cent item.  Anybody suggest a source locally?  Shipping and handling such a dinky little thing is such a waste.

Thanks,

-Denis

Radio Shack probably still sells them.

I tried them.  No luck at one store.  No luck on line.

Thanks for finding it.  But the additional item below (on-line only) is for the insulator, for $2.25.  The description says it contains mica and insulators, but the material is metal, called a stand-off.  If I find one at at local store I will know soon enough what it is.  I hope the manufacturing is better than their text.

Jerry pointed me to the part at RS.  Their site says that the very store I inquired at (and was told No) has it.  Now that I have a part number perhaps the clerk can find it.  If all that fails I will get back to you.  Thanks for the offer.

I've got lots of those here: the insulator, shoulder washer, 4-40 machine screw & nut... plenty of everything.  If you still need it by Monday, just say the word and I'll bring a set to the meetup.

RadioShack: You have questions, we have a cell phone plan.

(Don't expect help with anything else from people at RS. Having a part number *might* help, but you are assuming they can read.)

The Radio Shack on 40th and NE Sandy is pretty good about having parts and they can even direct you to the correct shelf section.
