I know most people here would get in on the group order, but I have a
friend who is old fashioned, and wants to make his own boards. With
the demise of Norvac he doesn't know where to go to get supplies any
more.

I used to love that stuff, back in the days when I etched boards. Sooooo
much nicer the Ferric Chloride!

It's been a while since I've shopped at Fry's, but I recall they had it
on the shelf about a year ago.

Of course, you can always get it online....

I _still_ have lots of leftover carbide PCB drill bits, if anyone's
interested?

Do you have any specific reason to use the persulfate, other than
"they want it"? the HCl/H2O2 etchant is far superior in speed,
re-usability and cost. if you are dead set on using it, try Double O
Electronics if you don't feel like driving to Fry's (who has it also).

I know it is in Eugene, but the Norvac staff down here opened their
own store in the next industrial park building over from the old
Norvac called "Oregon Electronics" I haven't been there yet, but my
technical but not hardwary boyfriend just went there and managed to
find me some really nice birthday gifts, so I'm sure it's awesome.
And the staff are the same ones who were at the Eugene Norvac back in
the 90's heyday of Norvac when I lived in Portland but ran a private
network that ran from Roseburg to Vancouver and our emergency parts
strategy was a) Norvac b) have someone from our Portland office throw
it on the next Greyhound.

Sure.  I'll bring 30 pieces for you, 10 in the "small" range useful for through-hole components, and 20 in the "tiny" range, useful for vias and components with thin leads.

I've got a couple more sets of 30, if anyone wants 'em?
