Having grown tired of the structure of the gallery system in Dallas and beyond. I would like to propose some Guerrilla action something kin to the Freeze shows of the yBa's in the late eights and early nighties. I am currently recruiting, and looking for people interested in developing this idea. The first and most important thing is space. I don't want a typical gallery, rent is cheap now these days and I am sure someone wouldn't mind 1 or more months of rent. In order to do this I will need people who can write and self-less promoters. We will subvert the typical system of critics and such and release our own critique and promotion material. At first we don't even need to pick a theme, but we will, and yes that probably means not everyone will get in, including me, but there is always next time. Visual Art only sculpture, painting, etc. Though the network of all our contacts, and so forth I believe we can do something. So grab you pitchfork and come with me. Let's trully be "post-modern" and reget the tradition. grr... and stuff.
