Hey dorkbot!
I am interested in getting together a group of people who are
interested in better understanding how to use their computers with a
maximum of comfort and a minimum of pain. Specifically looking into:
* back or neck pain and tension when at the computer
* computer eye strain and computer vision syndrome problems
* all things that go in the direction of RSI
and more generally, looking into the similar kinds of body issues that
come up for people in frequent computer use and computer life. Right
now I'd be interested in getting together a group of people and seeing
what avenues of inquiry were compelling (for example, looking into
what a healthy desk set-up could be, looking at different ideas for
healthy sitting posture, looking into different kinds of chairs and
seeing what works well for different people, ... etc.) I've done a lot
of this research for myself personally over the past year, and I think
it would be great to keep working on these kinds of questions with a
small group of people.
So if this at all interests you, send me a note, tell me what
interests you, and maybe we'll get together!
thanks!
