On a rather happier note (than failing to bid on workbenches...), Boo
Chapple - who's been running the Open Curate It series of
events/seminars/etc. at FACT - had an article published in the Guardian
yesterday.

It was about the Open Curate It series, and included mention of the 3D
printing work that I did with them, where we printed out submissions
from the public on the DoES Liverpool Makerbot and then stuck them up
around FACT.  There's a photo of the Makerbot at the top of the article,
and even better, a link to DoES in the text.

Have a read at

Cheers,

Adrian.

Anyone buying such a workbench locally must be cool and needs to know
about DoESLiverpool anyway.

You could message winning bidders on eBay and invite them to Makernight :)

Missed this important info off my previous posting (thnks Jodi). The K Cafe conversation on Tuesday begins at 6-30. All info on all cafe events listed on the front page (scroll down) at http://knowledgecafe0151.groupsite.com. Cafe generally meets third Tuesday in month at the Fly. There will be one more event before summer break using a web link with Manchester and the USA on the subject of managing knowledge in organisations (at least that's the plan).

Ah, thanks for posting this!

I looked the other day to try and work out when/where Knowledge Cafe
is, and couldn't find it at all... (Was not obvious to scroll that far
down below the fold)

I don't know if I'm just being picky in 2012 expecting to be able to
Google for a society, and quickly and easily find out when and where
the next meeting is...

It's not just Knowledge Cafe - I've had similar problems with
Makernight and Lean Liverpool too. There must be some underlying
reason for this, but I don't know what it is.
