split Season

what do people think about the new season being split into two halfs?

Curious what the "Game-Changing Cliff-Hanger" in mid season will be...

In theory; the split season sounds fine. I hope the scripts are a bit
better this upcoming season; IMHO last season they were wildly uneven.

i am not sure that it will be good for ratings wont it mean that the second half of the season will be up against the X Factor?

I guess it could be the loss of a companion, the revelation of the seasons baddie, theme or something about River's everything changes statement, 
change of Doctor?
