I tried a simple object model with associations:

class Student
include DataMapper::Mongo::Resource

property :id, ObjectId
property :name, String
property :age, Integer
end

class CourseStudent
include DataMapper::Mongo::Resource

property :id, ObjectId
belongs_to :course

hey

thanks for your reply. i think the issue is that mongohq uses version
1.6 which isnt compatible with the ruby mongo driver currently being
used in the adapter.

Perfect, I'll for it and try to fix it when i have time.

Hey!

It's possible that the current pre-release is broken. Development on
the adapter has slowed down lately, true, but it hadn't stopped! We
are releasing DataMapper 1.1 in the upcoming weeks and I will upgrade
the adapter to the latest version of DM and fix any known issues.

I am getting this error while attempting to use this adapter.

Mongo::ConfigurationError: Trying to connect directly to slave; if
this is what you want, specify :slave_ok => true.

Logging is not implemented yet. If the ruby driver supports logging it
will be an easy task tho

I've been working over the past few days to move our rails (2.x) and
sinatra apps to DM 1.0 with the intention of playing around with
mongodb. The setup described here:

Hi,

I've set up dm-mongo-adapter (version from github) with dm 1.0.0 and
rails3beta4. Unfortunately when submitting a form it tries to validate
id (ObjectID) on save, which is null of course and I get an error (id
must not be blank). Not sure what information I can provide to help

what version of datamapper does it work with currently (so I can
downgrade until it's compatible.) and when will I know it works with
1.0? just keep track of git commits? and is it just not compatible
with rubinius at all?

0.2.0.pre doesn't work with DataMapper 1.0.0. I'll be releasing an

Yes, edge adapter requires ActiveSupport, it's preferred over Extlib.
Sooner or later DM will drop support for Extlib anyway.
