Delay payment charges

Today I got a letter from DLF, they have refereed my 3-4 previous payment details and with delay in number of days.

Now, asking me to pay 25000 Rs for total delay payment charges.

I am shocked with this. 

Anybody else has got such letter from DLF recently.

They have delayed the project more than a year now and catching hold of us for 10 or 12 days delayed payment.

We need to take this to their management now!!!

Please give your opinion.

I had the same issue, but DLF did not agree.

I received a demand not with interest charged Rs.1062.

I always use to pay the last day and bank takes one day to transfer the money.

Even for one day difference they have charged the interest and not ready to negotiate.

You can try.. all the best.

If through cheque, once you hand over the cheque to them, the ball is out of your court.

Hi Ruturaj,

Assuming that you have made the payments on or before the last date, you can produce the acknowledgement copy received from DLF to prove that you have made payment in time.

 

In case the payment is paid after the due date they will charge you as per the clauses mentioned in the sales agreement.

I am in Guys, I am really facing a lot of problems from DLF and the the way they work and never respond to our queries. Its one of the most pathetic services I have seen from any organization.

For me the problem is regarding a government off which I availed and didn't got any acknowledgement for this. I am chasing for the same from last 4 months.

I completely agree with you Vishal, let's plan on some day and go there together.

Be aware some times DLF will charge you interest for payment you may have already paid. It happened to me. Curious are they paying interest penalty to the residents for the delay they are making

even the bank home loans are compounded monthly and bank FDs compounded quarterly.

DLF is is 30 steps ahead of bank loans ;-)

Dear all,

I am Appasaheb Naikal, I also booked a flat in DLF woodland Heights Rajapura Banagalore and like many of you I  too received delay payment charges of Rs. 245002.00.

Though I submitted  ABA in Dec 2013 to DLF they didn't return my copy till I demand it in Feb 2014 (in Feb. 2014 My banker HDFC demanded ABA as mortgage to release the loan amount). As a result payment delayed and DLF charged me Rs. 245002.00 as interest. When I requested them to wave off they are refusing.

In this regard I sent them an email couple of days back and requested them to wave off . I clearly mentioned in that email that If they don't wave off and reverse the charges in next demand letter, I will go to consumer court !!!

As a builder DLF is aware that no bank would release the loan amount without Apartment buyer agreement, NOC from builder, tripartite agreement and other related documents, which bank collect as part of mortgage and release the payment.  So Instead of guiding customer like us and helping us DLF is purposely delaying documents and demanding to pay the interest/ Delay payment.

It seems DLF is using this trick to collect additional amount from buyers. Hence if they refuse to wave off we should prepare to file a case in consumer court.  Hence request all affected owners to come together and file a case in consumer court.

Any date for Possession??

During my last weekend visit to Maiden Heights Site , it looks like the work is progressing .  But my guess is that it will take another Six to Eight Months for them to handover. The current rate they are quoting as per BOP is Rs. 3800/- per Sq Ft for Woodland heights.

 

Progress observed

 

- Saw the Sliding doors and windows fitted in some of the floors.

- Painting work progress is more than before.

- Security Entry foundation work in progress.

- Piping work in progress.

- Lots of progress in adjacent Woodland heights projects.

 

One more good news is that DLF has five acres near by where they have plan to open a school for the benefit of DLF residents.  This will also help them to sell their projects in a good rate. At present L&T workers stay in the land.
