  I need users to attach arbitrary media files to database records. Attachments seems to do what I need, except that its UI is utterly lame - it should figure out the media type of the file from the extension and display an appropriate thumbnail as well as a way to provide a viewer inline. Also, it relies on a bunch of custom tags for django&#39;s template processor but I&#39;m using jinja2.
