Last night I pushed up v0.7 to PyPi. This version contains a large refactor of the JS plugin and contains additional tests to ensure compatibility with the latest jQuery and jQuery UI. There is also a bit of work done to easy working with Twitter Bootstrap which has some plugin overlap with jQuery UI. This also add experimental Python 3 support if you are using Django 1.5. There are a few backwards incompatible changes which you might notice if you were making large customizations to the client-side behaviors. More information can be found in the release notes: https://django-selectable.readthedocs.org/en/version-0.7.0/releases.html#v0-7-0-released-2013-03-01

Best,

Mark

Mark,

How can I set initial value for the autocomplete field? For example, I want to show the current/old value while allow user to change to new value for a selection.

Thanks,
Rao

There is nothing particularly special about django-selectable for setting the initial value. The initial value can be a list  of [label, id] or simply the id and it will get the label from the lookup.

Best,

Mark
