Hi all.

I'm Jonas Kölker, I'm a python afficionado and I'm co-running a startup which
uses Django for its thing. I've spotted a Danish mistranslation:

In current git, in the file "django/conf/locale/da/LC_MESSAGES/django.po",
referring to "#: forms/fields.py:689 forms/fields.py:769", the translation of

"Select a valid choice. %(value)s is not one of the available choices."

is given as

"Marker en gyldigt valgmulighed; '%(value)s' er ikke en af de tilgængelige "
"valgmuligheder."

I think it should be

"Marker en gyldig valgmulighed. %(value)s er ikke en af de tilgængelige "
"valgmuligheder."

The 't'-removal fixes a grammar issue. The single quotes make the translation
stray from the original, with no correctness or clarity gain that I can spot.
Likewise for the period/semicolon swap.

In the same file, referring to "#: forms/models.py:1000", the translation of

"Select a valid choice. %s is not one of the available choices."

is given as

"Marker et gyldigt valg. %s er ikke en af de tilgængelige valgmuligheder."

I think it should be

"Marker en gyldig valgmulighed. %s er ikke en af de tilgængelige "
"valgmuligheder."

The current translation is understandable, if a bit... not quite "mundret"
(semilit. "fits in your mouth"). Also, consistency seems like a good thing.

In that case, except for a "(value)" interposed betwen '%' and 's', the two
translations are identical. Could and should they be unified, somehow?

Cheers! :-)

Hi Jonas,

I see that you joined the Danish translation team on Transifex, so you
probably fixed that already.

We are going to start working on 1.5 translations soon. So stay tuned!

Hi Jonas

You should join Danish translation group on transifex.com (https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/django/language/da/) and fix the translation

Best wishes
