Everyone,

I just pushed a branch to GitHub (http://github.com/toastdriven/
django-haystack/tree/whoosh-1.1) that has Whoosh 1.1 support. There's
still one failing test (related to building the cache) and two errors,
both of which I've asked Whoosh's maintainer about and am waiting on a
response. Once I have those sorted out, I'll do some testing on my end
and when it's satisfactory, it'll be merged into master (hopefully by
the end of the week).

Thus far I'm very impressed with Whoosh 1.x. Solid speed
improvements, better most everything & there's now native faceting
bits. Once I've got Whoosh 1.1 landed, I'll work on adding faceting,
but I want to make sure that's solid first. The wait is almost over.

I want to thank you in great advance for your work!
Especially on supporting the latest version of Whoosh. I use haystack
with Whoosh on a few medium sized websites for easy deployment reasons
and it usually worked great. But the older version of Whoosh are a bit
unreliable. So I'm definitely looking forward to see your work merged
into the master branch.

Thanks a lot again. Keep up your great work.
Make sure you contact me and receive your well earned beer when you
are near Munich or London ;-)
