New URL template tag design

Hi folks,

I have submitted a patch (7995) to make the URL template tag have a
more high-level parser (the way it is currently done doesn't allow for
example more than one space separating each template tag components).
Also I changed the arguments to be separated by spaces instead of
k=v,k1=v2 but keeping back compatibility.

Since it was the first time I submitted a patch, what should I do now?
I set the state as assigned and check the "I'm submitted a patch". Is
this the regular way to have it noticed? Because I think this would be
a nice design upgrade that should be able in the next big release of
Django.

There are lots o fthings that might be nice, but if we didn't change
this it also wouldn't be a showstopper. Introducing more than one way to
do something is also an anti-pattern in Python. So, at the moment, this
sort of thing is post-1.0.

Sure, the two way was only for back-compability but anyway, I
understand it is not a blocker.
