protocol generating program?

except one made by Microsoft explaining its use [1].I'm not even sure
if the stuff on the MS site is the same Biocoder mentioned here on
DIYbio previously. I wanted to type up my protocols and make it look
nice but I don't really feel like setting up my own format with Latex.
It's been a while since I used latex so I'll need a refresher but I
don't have much free time these days.
What options do I have? Is the bioCoder on the MS site the same as
described on DIYbio?

I dunno if it actually helps, but I use google docs for writing lab
books. One can create templates there for specific experiments, but I
also often reuse older files by copying them and filling in the new
numbers as I go. Its online, so I can access it from any computer and
is also backed up, so I can't lose it.

I went and checked out OpenWetWare. Is everything published on OWW
publicly accessibly? If so, I don't think it might be a good notebook
for me.

Its pretty long so I'll need some time to read through it to get a
better opinion of if anything out there is good or not right now.
It would be awesome to start a database of programmatically defined
protocols, then people can really start to modularize stuff!

I think he just wanted some way to avoid writing LaTeX.. which makes biocoder a peculiar choice. It might render LaTeX but it's not really used by anyone.. plus it has its own cryptic way of writing things out. I mean, if something like "google docs" is a potential solution to his problem, then biocoder definitely isn't even contending heh.

I'll have a look at LaTeX again; I just didn't want to make a new
template. I just liked the output from BioCoder. Maybe I'll figure out
a LaTeX template that looks like the 3-box style in BioCoder
