The table of contents (http://www.sinauer.com/detail.php?id=3914#tents) suggests the topics covered are fairly general - regular expressions, using the shell etc.

It's a shame there isn't a sample chapter available.

Yep, and $60 is too much for a simplified rehash. I would be more
excited if they had a section on good programming methods. I took
matlab and the book used was terrible. I still can't solve some of
their loop and if statement exercises. For $60, you can pick up books
on unix, python, and many other languages.
