Hey all,

Open Science Summit 2010 was great, and I took (some) transcripts so that others could share in some of the talks, since audio/video for conferences usually comes weeks/months later. These transcripts are actually not as good as they usually would be .. I've been on a new/different keyboard that I haven't been acclimated to, and my installation of linux for some reason periodically turns "hello" into "heeeeelllllllooooooo" so those errors are spread out all over the place, plus more-than-usual typos. But maybe the text is still legible?

Thursday was all on one page:

There was an impromptu meeting re: the bioethics.gov stuff that was brought up a few weeks ago...
announced: http://groups.google.com/group/diybio/msg/9dbbf22d9c9f8c23
transcripts from bioethics.gov stuff: http://groups.google.com/group/diybio/browse_frm/thread/8b5da86b61a8154/be34db67a72aad45
follow-up: http://groups.google.com/group/diybio/msg/a041525b54aaab42
... so here's a "transcript" of what was talked about:

^ Now, it's important for me to note that this isn't actually a verbatim transcript of what was being said. Half of it is sort of quasi-notes that were fused into whatever it sounded like someone was saying, not word-for-word accuracy, and in some cases there might be a sentence that is the exact opposite of what was said (because I missed a "not") so please take it with a grain of salt. Plus I don't keep track of who-said-what, so it's probably terrible.
