Mac's kit for DNA barcoding is $170 for 10 reactions, we supply the pipettes and thermocycler. Anyone wanna go in on this? Gives us an excuse to get sushi in the name of research...

The kit includes everything needed except pipettes and a pcr machine.  It's $170 for 10 reactions, including sequencing and postage etc.  Yeah!  Try it!

Cheers

We've got a couple bioartists coming now, one who is interested in phosphorescent algae and the other in "writing" with bacteria.

What are the costs associated with the kit? I think we might try the wet work ourselves, if we can manage it...

Sounds like fun!  We do have a number of micropipettors & a few boxes of tips at sprout (not that a donation wouldn't be welcome!!). Dan, do you know what we'd need specifically?

Cheers,

Hey guys, you'll need a p20, a p200, tips, a thermocycler, and a freezer to store the kit until you use it.

Cheers
