Round 2340 was a very fun round, for me. Definitions all over the place, in terms of meaning and context, and the votes were spread around. TWO players earned top spot with 6 points: they were John Barrs and Dodi Schultz. John Barrs's definition "the pawnbroker's sign-board [OE fr. OF _tres_ three + _geter_ to throw or hang + _or_ gold]" earned its author the deal, and Dodi Schultz can heave a sigh of relief that "[Obs.] a traveling balladeer." did not earn one more vote.

There were 2 players in runner-up position with 4 points each: Tony Abell and Tim Bourne.

The true definition was 11: "a prestigitator; a magician; a juggler who produces optical illusions by mechanical contrivances." (Webster's Revised Unabridged, 1913), which 4 perceptive players guessed.
