I'm brand new in RUBY development I am wondering if someone has
already been able to connect the DivShare API using RUBY.
Do Divshare provide a RUBY librairy to connect their API?

I've been able to login and have a basic Ruby library started. I'll
post to the group when it's usable, in the next few weeks, I hope.

Hello wasnotrice,
Can you share your Ruby library even if it's not completed and 100%
usable. I'd be happy to give a hand on this and share it with you and
all this community.
Hope you'll be comfortable with this.

Of course. For now, you can check out the source (in Mercurial) from
http://wasnotrice.net/hg/divshare-0.0.1. I'll try to get it published
to RubyForge as a gem soon.

Limitations:

No documentation yet.
No uploading yet.
You can only get files for the logged-in user (because of
http://groups.google.com/group/divshare-api/browse_thread/thread/2acd284b33cdbf77)

For now, see script/test_run_client for an example of how to use the
client.

Have you made any more progress on this? Did you manage to get
uploading working? We really just need that for our project, we don't
need get_files or anything like that :)

Funny, just need get_files, not uploading, or anything... But I do
need to get that working. I confess, I have not been so motivated to
finish, given the lack of involvement from DivShare in this forum.
I'll see what I can do.

Any progress on this?

We have the new API that should help you finish this up.  Let us know we will help you out.
