flag OpenMicroBlogging
Evan Promodou has put out an early draft of an OpenMicroBlogging spec and I was hoping for some feedback/review from the group: [link] Implementation: <[link]> <[link]>[link] Source: <[link]>[link] Is this something we could/should implement? How could we make it more... more »

Cliqset is now a PuSH publisher and subscriber
Just posted this to the PubSubHubbub list but thought it was relevant here as well since our user feeds are AS compliant. -- Hey guys, Just wanted to drop the list a note to let you know Cliqset is now a PuSH publisher and subscriber. As of this morning all Cliqset user activity feeds are now publishing... more »

Announcing Cliqset FeedProxy (Activity Streams translation service)
Hey all, I just wanted to give everyone a heads up about a Cliqset tool we just rolled out this morning called FeedProxy. It's designed to make Activity Streams more accessible to developers and users alike. Here's the deal: FeedProxy uses the same translation technology we've implemented to... more »

Quick question about iframes versus popups
I understand the narrative about why Facebook connect migrated from inline frames to popups. I also understand the narrative about Plaxo and Google's 92% rate of return on OpenID two-click logins. That said, why shouldn't the burden for security rest with the provider? I'm wondering if popups are contributing to the lack of adoption problem... more »

User Stats [Used to be Re: Reputation]
... ... I looked at UserLabor a long time ago and had hopes that it could be the model for Activity Streams. Their model ended up being a bit too esoteric and original for my tastes, and hence our work was born. Whether we can leverage their <network> concept is worth considering — though I don't know that it actually accurately models what we need.... more »

Diso - also for real-world objects?
Hi folks, I've been passively observing this list for some weeks and found excellent the ideas flowing here, but never really jumped it. I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself, and hopefully take this riding train and start some great discussions here. Briefly, my name is Vlad Trifa and I'm researcher at ETH Zurich and SAP, and... more »

Finally! Some fscking data!
In case you missed her post, Leah Culver has provided some very useful data on OpenID-style authentication use at TypePad. The money number? From 8% of all new signups three months ago to 63% in September. [link] Perhaps she can run the numbers and see if the trend is continuing?... more »

Easy client cert installation
Anyone heard of people working on a sane UX for installing ssl certs in browsers, like what people are working on for openid and oauth? Or is there some other some encrypted (not merely authenticated) protocol with a decent browser ux flow?
