flag OpenMicroBlogging
Evan Promodou has put out an early draft of an OpenMicroBlogging spec and I was hoping for some feedback/review from the group: [link] Implementation: <[link]> <[link]>[link] Source: <[link]>[link] Is this something we could/should implement? How could we make it more... more »

Gravatar support in BuddyPress
Huh, interesting. Personally I don't like this -- or at least I don't like the idea of hardcoding Gravatar support. What I would prefer would be the ability to choose an avatar provider (granted, Gravatar is the only one right now) or accept OpenIDs and look for either hcard, SREG or some other link type (rel-avatar?) to enable... more »

Simple yet puzzling vocabulary/UI question.
You know, I'm feeling kinda dumb asking this, but... how can I best convey what the user is about to agree to in an oauth handshake session? I mean, I catch myself now wanting to use "login to x.y", or "sign in" since it's not really an authz session. But then again, the average user is familiar with the above.... more »

WordPress pursuing its own authz protocol?
In the past couple days, there's been a bit of a dust-up about some default changes coming to WordPress in 2.6 -- namely disabling ATOM and XML-RPC APIs by default. Read up on the discussion: [link] This topic hit the mailing list: [link]... more »
